While Downtown Greenville's familiar culinary scene has some great BBQ options, this tour will take you outside of the city center to the places locals know and love. These are the types of joints with smoke stacks sticking out of the rooftops and white smoke billowing out of the chimneys--smoking the meats right on the premises.
The Greenville BBQ Trail tour is your opportunity to try back-to-back tastings of what are considered by many to be among the top BBQ spots in the city.

Tour guide gratuity (typically $6-8 per person)
- Tour may not be appropriate for small children.
- Generally, children above twelve years old are most appropriate for the tour.
- Activity takes place rain or shine.
- The activity runs regardless of weather conditions. In the rare situation where the seller is forced to cancel the event, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability)
- How long in advance can tickets be purchased?
- Tickets must be purchased in advance before 8 p.m. the day before the event. Because preparations must be made ahead of time by the restaurants, we will not be able to provide refunds after a purchase is made. Tickets can be purchased online or over the phone.
- How much will I eat during the course of the tour?
- Each restaurant will serve two smoked bbq meats and two sides. A choice of drinks will also be provided. The amount of food received on the tour will be more than a full meal for most people. Whatever you are not able to finish you can take home with you.
- Will drinks be provided?
- Yes, a choice of sodas, water, or tea are included in the price and are available throughout the tour.
- What about special dietary needs?
- Unfortunately, will be unable to accommodate special dietary requests for the "Greenville BBQ Trail" tour exept for vegetarian requests (a vegetarian plate of sides can be served at ea. restaurant). Our other culinary tour, "At the Chef's Table, is able to cater to any dietary requests and food allergies.
- What should I wear?
- Casual clothing is appropriate.
- What is the minimum and maximum capacity for culinary tours?
- All tours have a minimum requirement of six people and a maximum limit of twelve people. If only five or less people are signed up the day before a tour is scheduled, we will try to reschedule you or the tour will be canceled and ticket charges will be refunded.
- Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
- Unfortunately, wheelchair access will not be possible to accommodate on this tour due to restrictions of the 15 passenger van.
- Are tours offered in inclimate weather?
- Tours will be held rain, snow or shine. Please bring your own umbrella in case of the possibility of rain.
- Can you accommodate private group tours?
- Private group tours of up to 12 people outside of regularly scheduled tour times can be arranged with advanced notice of two weeks, based on availability. Private tours are priced higher than the normally scheduled tours. If interested, click on the "Contact this seller" link to make a request.
- Do you offer gift certificates?
